Maureen joined the LaCross and Murphy, PLLC team in 2015. She devotes her entire practice to protecting the rights of individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes in the State of Washington.


Maureen understands the emotional difficulties inherent in the criminal justice process and believes that part of her job is to eliminate your anxiety about the unknown and explain the possible outcomes, as well as the law. Maureen is there to help you stay informed, prepared and ready to address the important legal issues you face.
Her wealth of experience in criminal law allows Maureen to give her clients the tools they need to make informed and intelligent decisions about their future. While at Seattle University School of Law, Maureen was selected for a prestigious externship with the Honorable J. Robert Leach at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division 1. After graduating in 2010, Maureen was hired as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael T. Downes at the Snohomish County Superior Court. In 2012, she was hired at the Snohomish County Public Defender Association where she focused exclusively on criminal law for three years. During this time she represented hundreds of clients and developed solid skills in the areas of criminal hearings, criminal motions, trial advocacy, and litigation.


Maureen is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Washington Defender Association.
